credits for his bachelor's Ph: (509) 484-2461 Email: baseball@warehousebaseball.com ________________________________________ Sean Flikke – Hitting Instructor Sean is a 1992 graduate of Cheney High School and a 1996 graduate of Stanford University, where he made the baseball team as walk-on during his freshman year. Following a .400 senior campaign as a pinch hitter and DH, Sean was named the Cardinal’s Most Inspirational player in 1996. Upon graduating, Sean signed a professional contract and played two seasons of independent ball in Greenville, MS and Reno, NV. _______________________________________ Danny Evans – Infield Instructor, Hitting Instructor Danny is in his fourth year as an Assistant Coach at Gonzaga University, where he works with the infielders and assists Coach Machtolf with the hitters. Danny was a four-year letter winner as a member of the GU squad and earned All-West Coast Conference honors as an infielder following his senior season. Danny graduated from Gonzaga in 2003. ________________________________________ Jackson Brennan - Hitting Instructor Jackson played at Gonzaga until the ’06 season earning WCC Player of the Week and WCC Player of the Month honors while playing for the Bulldogs. Jackson earned All-Tournament Honors at the Coca-Cola Spring Training 2005 Classic and the UTPA Baseball Classic 2006. Jackson was on the ’05 and ’06 WCC Spring All-Academic First Team as well as a ’05 and ’06 ESPN The Magazine District 8 All-Academic First Team and ’06 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American Team. Jackson signed with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays as free-agent following his ’06 season at Gonzaga and played for the Southwest Michigan Devil Rays (A) during the summer of ’06. ________________________________________ Marshall Bratton - Hitting Instructor Marshall Bratton joined the Warehouse Coaching Staff three years ago after completing his playing career at Gonzaga University. While playing at Gonzaga, Marshall was a 2004 1st Team All-West Coast Conference Designated Hitter and a 2003-04 WCC All –Academic 1st Team performer. Marshall graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1999 and attended Treasure Valley Community College where he was a 2001 NJCAA Academic All-American. As Director of Baseball Operations at Gonzaga University, Marshall assists the coaching staff with administrative duties and the development of position players. During the 2007 summer, Marshall served as the hitting coach for the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League affiliate Wenatchee Applesox. Marshall has been involved with many youth programs around the Spokane area, including Little League, Pony, and American Legion Baseball. Marshall also has years of experience coaching at the areas premier camps, including the Gonzaga Baseball winter and summer camps. Marshall, a Certified Public Accountant, earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting and will complete a Masters degree in Business Administration from Gonzaga University in May of 2008. ________________________________________ Steve Bennett – Director of Operations A four year starter on the mound for the Zags, Steve earned numerous academic and athletic honors at Gonzaga. In 2000, Steve earned 1st Team All-West Coast Conference on the mound and 1st Team All Academic WCC in the classroom. Drafted by the New York Mets in 1999, Steve spent four seasons in the Mets organization, reaching AA in 2003. He is in his 3rd year as an assistant to the Gonzaga Bulldogs coaching outfield and pitching. ________________________________________ Randy Nash - Hitting Instructor Randy was a 2003 graduate of Newport High School in Bellevue, Washington where he starred for the baseball team. Randy became a member of the Gonzaga Baseball team from 2003-2006 as an infielder. Randy is currently finishing school at Gonzaga University. ________________________________________ Tony Byrne - Hitting Instructor Tony Byrne is in his eighth year at the Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS). His primary responsibilities include recruiting coordinator and managing the infielders, hitters, and coaching third base. Byrne graduated from Freeman High School in 1995. He spent two years in Montana as a coach for the Kalispell Lakers and Glacier Twins. In 2001 Byrne worked with the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen as an assistant coach helping guide them to a district title and a fifth place finish at state. Byrne coached the Spokane Hurricanes, which became the first team from Eastern Washington to win the prestigious Brandy Pugh Tournament in Bellevue, Washington. He has been the head coach for the Washington East Fall Scout Baseball team for the past four seasons. Byrne is the head coach of the Spokane Blue Devils American Legion Baseball Club. ________________________________________ Nick Merriman – Hitting and catching instructor Nick was born and raised in Portland Oregon where he attended Jesuit High School in the class of 2002. After High School, Nick went to Treasure Valley Junior College in Ontario, OR, where he performed well for the Chukars for two years. Nick then transferred to Gonzaga University where he played baseball for the Zags for 2 years. Nick finished his senior year by batting .350. Nick is currently a graduate assistant for Gonzaga where he helps with hitters and catchers, while finishing up his engineering Degree. ________________________________________ Barry Matthews - Hitting and pitching instructor Coach Matthews is in his fourth year as the Sasquatch pitching and strength coach. Matthews graduated from Crespi Carmelite High School in Encino, California, in 1996 where he was a three-time All-Mission League selection. After redshirting one year at Cal State University, Northridge, he played one year at Los Angeles Pierce Community College, where he completed his A.A. degree and was a WSC First Team All-Conference selection. Matthews transferred to Gonzaga University in 1999 and completed his undergraduate degree in physical education in 2001. While at Gonzaga, he played three years, receiving two First Team All-Conference selections, and was named a NCBWA Second Team All-American and Baseball America’s Third Team All-American. After college Matthews played two years for the Detroit Tigers, in their minor league system, where he earned a Florida State Pitcher of the Week Award. Before joining the Sasquatch squad Matthews was the head assistant coach at Medical Lake High School. ________________________________________ Ryan Oster - Hitting Instructor
